Description
PDF of the first Texas Technological College pageant production titled "The Spirit of West Texas: A Pageant" on June 1, 1926. The pageant was held on the south lawn of the Administration Building with Texas Tech students as the performers, and the College Band and Orchestra, under the direction of Band Director W. R. Waghorne, providing the musical accompaniment. Ruth Pirtle, Head of the Speech Department, and Johnnye Gilkerson (Langford), of the Physical Education, co-directed the elaborate production.
