Abstract
This interview features Matthew Santa as he discusses music theory and what drew him into music as a profession. In this interview Santa describes how he got into playing music and the musicians that he studied under. He then moves on to explain some aspects of music theory and why some music is more appealing to people than others. Santa ends the interview by stating his opinions on rap and active versus passive listening.
