Abstract

Description

This scrapbook documents the ongoing activities of the Double Key home economics honorary society which became the Omega chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron at Texas Technological College in November of 1937. Texas Tech was the first Texas school to acquire a chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, which was a national professional fraternity. Included in the scrapbook are photographs, news clippings, the chapter's newsletters, handwritten notes and memorabilia. Condition wise the binding and front and back boards of the scrapbook had to be replaced as the original covers were missing and the binding was loosely held together with wire. The pages are very fragile and it appears that some photographs or items are missing from their pages.
